Description & Services
DescriptionProvides support and educational information to relatives, caregivers and friends of those with schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. Offers a free 10 week education session for family members, friends and caregivers of someone with a mental illness. Supports advocacy for improved services for those with schizophrenia and their families. Support for increased funding for research into improved treatment and cure. Provides monthly support group meetings, educational sessions, public forums and a part of the Lynx Early Psychosis Intervention Program. 
 
Community Outreach Lakefield and Havelock: Havelock on second and fourth Thursday of the month 9 am-4 pm at Havelock Medical Centre; Lakefield on first and third Thursday of the month 9 am-4 pm at the Northern Lights office, 14 Queen St. Lakefield.
HoursPeterborough office: Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm 
Peterborough Family Education and Support meetings: first Wed of month 6:30 pm 
Havelock: second & fourth Thu 9 am-4 pm 
Lakefield: first & third Thu 9 am-4 pm
