| Description | Social club for adults and children who have an interest in rocks, minerals, gems, lapidary, and fossils. * Organizes field trips to collect minerals or fossils in spring, summer, and fall. * Offers workshops on cleaning minerals and fossils, basic mineral and fossil identification, and various lectures on rocks, minerals, and fossils. * For advanced experienced collectors and for people who have little or no knowledge in the earth sciences but want to gain understanding about rocks and minerals. * Hosts the annual Kawartha Rock and Fossil Club Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show on the first weekend in March at the Evinrude Centre in Peterborough. | |||
