| Description | Kawartha Family Court Assessment Service provides Family Court and Youth Court with comprehensive assessments pursuant to Section 34 of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, Section 54 of the Child and Family Services Act (child welfare assessments), and Section 30 of the Children's Law Reform Act (custody/access assessments). The assessments are ordered by the Court and include social, psychological, and at times, psychiatric input into the assessments. The Kawartha Family Court Assessment Service also provides a family court mediation service. |
