| Description | In addition to employment services, VCCS operates a Volunteer Centre for those wishing to gain new skills or contribute to the community. Volunteer listings for the area can be found online at fourinfo.com and at the VCCS Resource Room. Additionally, the agency posts volunteer vacancies of the week in two local newspapers. Community information is collected through the program and updated online at fourinfo.com The database includes community information for the City of Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland, Haliburton and Peterborough through a four county collaboration. The community health and social service information collected by fourinfo.com is used by the call centre providing 211 in the City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton. A community blue book is published bi-annually and distributed in the community as funding allows. | |||
