Description (Service) The Fire and Emergency Services provides fire suppression and emergency services, as well as education around fire prevention and protection.  
Office sells burn permits * provides fire extinguisher training 
Fire Suppression unit responds to alarms for auto extrication and rescue, technical rope and confined space rescue, medical or ambulance support, hazardous material responses, as well as assistance during times of natural disasters.  
The Fire Prevention Officer enforces the Ontario Fire Code for all occupied buildings falling under our jurisdiction, such as apartments, care facilities, commercial and industrial sites.  
Answers questions about 911 services, and civic addresses in rural areas.
