| Description (Service) | Public Health Nurses work with individuals and groups to plan and support healthy choices: * Healthy living programming to prevent chronic diseases through physical activity and healthy eating * Healthy Schools program to help creating and maintain healthy school environments * Prevention of injuries and substance misuse * Healthy Child development support from pre-conception to school transition * Prenatal classes, breastfeeding clinics and support, parenting education * Home visits to new parents through the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program * Exchange Works, a harm reduction program, offers needle exchange services at all health unit offices * Naloxone kits available at all health unit offices |
