Description (Service) | Children's mental health prevention program featuring child-sized hand and rod puppets for children ages 4-11 to discuss social issues affecting them. Staff and trained volunteers provide presentations to schools, youth-focused agencies, community groups and at special events in the community. Offers presentations on the following topics: * Friendship/Respect and Good Manners for preschool and primary students * ADHD (accepting our strengths and weaknesses) * Anti-Bullying (how to cope with bullies) * Self Esteem * Anti-Smoking (discussion on peer pressure and confidence in making healthy choices) * Secrets vs Surprises (the importance of reaching out for help) for primary and junior students Also offers special presentations on: * Family Violence (dealing with anger) * Divorce (featuring the Rainbows program) * Fire Prevention and Community Policing awareness |
