Description (Service) | Mission Haliburton Highlands Land Trust is a non-profit, non-governmental, registered environmental charity. Its mission is to protect the natural heritage of Haliburton County for future generations. The Land Trust currently protects 4 properties - Norah's Island, a 22-acre island on Kennisis Lake; Dahl Forest, a 500-acre property that straddles the Burnt River; Smith Forest, a 72-acre forested property bordering a wetland complex on the Burnt River and Barry Wetland; a 100-acre wetland complex.
