Green Wood Coalition

Description (Service) Green Wood Coalition is a street-level, charitable organization that uses a community model of caring to walk alongside 
people living with poverty, mental illness, substance dependency and other disability, in Port Hope, Ontario.  
Services offered include: 
* A weekly Community Dinner at St John's Anglican Church (33 Pine Street North, Port Hope). Intent is to build relationships between individuals who are well-off and those who face daily struggles with poverty and homelessness. An outreach Nurse Practitioner is available a the weekly dinner meet with with individuals in need. 
* Creative Arts Program  
* Community Garden 
* Addiction / Dependency Recovery Support Groups and harm reduction supplies 
* Community 101 is an interactive series that explores ways of becoming a more healthy and vibrant community through caring for each other and seeking long-term change.
