Description (Service)

Develops and manages district programs and services related to the protection of air, water and soil in support of Ministry acts, regulations, policies and guidelines.

Manages the province's parks and conservation reserves
Approves, inspects and monitors water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, waste disposal sites or systems and air emissions
Issues aquatic herbicide permits and other pesticide/herbicide licenses
Investigates complaints of illegal activities in these areas and general concerns regarding the natural environment
Responds to spills
