Description (Service) KWIC connects people to global issues and local initiatives through opportunities that can change how we understand the world and to create equitable and sustainable communities.  
* Global Education and Resource Centre provides learning and working space including a free lending library.  
 
As a grassroots, charitable organization, change happens through 3 key program areas:  
* Community Education: Connects community to global issues through education events, workshops, film, panel and artist presentations 
* Youth & In-School Programs: Supports youth through education, leadership training, employment/mentorship, internships and valuable volunteer opportunities. The Seeds for Justice Facilitators Collective develops and facilitates participatory workshops for schools and groups on a variety of issues ranging from Youth & Democracy to Food Waste with a focus on building inclusive, welcoming youth spaces. * Global Youth - one day conference for local youth for a day of networking, workshops, speakers and inspiration.  
* KWIC Umbrella: Currently support TRACKS Youth Program, Youth Leadership in Sustainability (YLS), Trent Oxfam and Sustainable Trent.

Hours Office: Mon-Thu 9:30 am-4 pm * call ahead to ensure someone can meet with you. 
Global Education and Resource Centre: Mon-Fri 7 am-7 pm
Dates Sep-Jun (Call for hours during summer.)

Fees Membership - Suggested $25, pay what you can ; None - Most non-fundraising events are free or pay what you can. ; Educational events and programs may have a nominal fee, pay what you can. * Cost is not to be a barrier to participation in KWIC activities.
