DescriptionOntario Early Years Centres are a place for parents, caregivers, and children. Staffed by professionals and volunteers, the Centres provide services such as expert advice on parenting, information on developmental milestones, and organized programs and activities for participants. The Centres also provide connections to other children's and community services for families, such as child care services, health care, assessment services and recreation. The Centres will ensure that all families in Ontario, regardless of socio-economic background, culture, or geography, have access to certain core early years services that will give their children a healthy start. 
YMCA Northumberland is the lead agency in Northumberland Riding, hosting 6 Early Years Centre satellites and Mobile Outreach Unit to ensure access, strengthen and build upon existing services, and provide the best possible programs and services to ensure a healthy start for children.
